This linocut print was inspired by the darkness of the deep sea and it's denizens. The way one makes a linocut by carving out the white areas is why I thought deep sea creatures would be a fitting choice. I also experimented with mixing different colors of acrylic paint with the printing ink to lend a variety subtly different blacks and undertones. The results also varied in the heaviness of the design giving it distressed edges.
